Selecting AI Engines

You can change which Conversational AI Engine you use for each chatbot you build on the platform.

Note: You may be restricted in your choice of channels depending on your account type.

Intent Recognizer 

Blits enables users to pick different intent recognizers to process utterances. The different intent recognizers that the platform supports to date are:

  • Google DialogFlow 

  • IBM Watson 

  • Microsoft LUIS 

  • Rasa

  • Amazon Lex

  • Wit

  • Nuance (Nuance - AI Engine)

Entity Recognizer:

Blits also allows you to use a different NLU engine to extract entities. This way, an intent can be recognized by (e.g.) Microsoft LUIS, while the entity is extracted by Google DialogFlow. Depending on which entity recognizer you pick, the prebuilt entities offered with the NLU change and the performance of the entity recognition changes. Currently, these entity recognizers are included:

  • Google DialogFlow 

  • IBM Watson 

  • Microsoft LUIS 

  • Rasa

  • Amazon Lex

  • Wit

  • Stanford

  • Nuance (connect only)

Text-to-Speech

Blits enables users to pick different text-to-speech processors to convert respondent input into speech. The different text-to-speech processors that the platform supports:

  • Microsoft Text-to-Speech 

  • Google Text-to-Speech

  • IBM Watson Text-to-Speech 

  • Amazon Polly

Sentiment Analysis 

Blits enables users to pick different sentiment analyzers to identify the sentiment of the respondent. The different sentiment analyzers that the platform supports:  

  • Microsoft Text Analytics 

  • Google Sentiment Analysis 

  • IBM Sentiment and Context

  • Amazon Comprehend 

  • Stanford

Language Detection 

Blits enables users to pick different language detectors to determine the respondent's language. The different language detectors that the platform supports:

  • Microsoft Text Analytics 

  • Amazon Comprehend

  • Google Translate

  • IBM Watson Explorer 

  • Wit

Language Translate 

Blits enables users to pick different language translators to translate the respondent's language. The different language translators that the platform supports:

  • Microsoft Translator 

  • Google Translate 

  • IBM Language Translator

Voice-tone Analysis 

Blits enables users to pick different voice-tone analyzers to analyze the sentiment of the respondent spoken response. The voice-tone analyzer that the platform supports:

  • Amazon Lex (expected* Q4)
